Design Resources worked closely with the Owners on the design of this 2,260 sf custom waterfront home. The Owner’s had a beautiful, tranquil location with an existing carriage house, but the site had a very limited buildable area due to Coastal Bays Critical Areas setbacks.
The Owners wanted a very energy efficient house to connect to the existing carriage house. This home has a first floor Master Bedroom and an open floor plan. The second floor contains additional bedrooms / play areas and was designed to be shut off when not used by family and guests. It is oriented so that the house takes advantage of the site features and spectacular views on Ayres Creek, just east of Berlin.
